Applications must be submitted with Identification and seven dollars during a Tuesday monthly meeting. After the application is accepted, the Individual then receives a department paid physical. Once the physical is complete and the arson check is returned by the Rockland County Sheriffs office, the application is voted on by the department commissioners of Nyack Fire department and district commissioners of the Nyack Joint Fire District. Once the application is approved new members are then able to respond to fire calls and begin training.
