All training and class fees are covered by the Nyack Fire department. Firefighters can take an unlimited amount of NYS courses and receive certifications at the end of each course. Certifications are awarded by the state of New York and can be used anywhere within the state. Members can also take national firefighting certifications.

Training is also held in the house every Tuesday evenings and Sunday mornings.
